Using this Website
Q:
What is We Are Wesley?
A: We Are Wesley is a networking website designed specifically for Wesley College
alumni and friends. This resource allows Wesley alumni to stay connected with one another and their alma mater in a variety of ways, including accessing campus and alumni news, photo albums and announcements of upcoming events, searching for classmates and networking with other Wesley graduates through the search directory, sharing photos, class notes and blogs, and communicating with friends and fellow alumni through instant notes, email and message board posts. Other functions of the site provide alumni users the ability to conveniently and securely make commerce transactions to purchase Wesley Alumni merchandise, register for alumni events and make a gift to Wesley online. When you hover over the three words at the top of the screen – CONNECTED, INVOLVED, DEDICATED - you will see a drop-down menu of pages to which you can navigate.
Q:
How do I get started using the site?
A: The first step is to register in order to access your personal profile and the other
areas of the site. Users have individual profiles where they can confirm and update their contact information for Wesley College records and determine what information is viewable to other alumni through the alumni directory. Please visit the Privacy Policy page for more information.
How-to instruction sheets are available to guide you in using various functions of the site. Please click
here
to view.

A: To register, follow the instruction below for your initial login.

A: Users are able to change their password at any time by clicking on the Reset Password link on the login screen. Q:
What do I do if I cannot find my name during the First Time Login process?
A: If you are unable to find your name in the online listing, please
contact the Office of Institutional Advancement
so that we can check our records and set up your account, if needed.

Q:
How do I get to Wesley College’s main website and how does that site differ from We Are Wesley?
A: The We Are Wesley site is a compilation of all the information and resources of Wesley College’s Office of Institutional Advancement, including Alumni Affairs, Publications and Development. We Are Wesley is geared specifically for Wesley alumni, donors and friends and serves as a supplement to the general information provided on the main Wesley College website at
www.wesley.edu
When applicable, the We Are Wesley site provides links back to pertinent information on the main College website.
Please visit
www.wesley.edu
for information regarding campus departments, programs and services, including Admissions, Academics & Registrar, Sports & Recreation and Parker Library, among others.
Services for Alumni and Friends
Q:
How do I become a member of the Wesley College Alumni Association?
A: Alumni who graduate from Wesley are automatically members of the Alumni Association. There are no fees or memberships cards. All members are entitled to various alumni services that the College provides. Please visit the
Benefits and Resources
page for more information.
If you attended Wesley and did not graduate but feel a close connection to the College and wish to be a member of the Alumni Association and receive Wesley mailings, please
contact the Office of Institutional Advancement
.
Q:
How can I find and contact classmates or Wesley friends with whom I have lost
touch?
A: Because Wesley College’s privacy policy limits the release of alumni contact information, even to other alumni, the best way to find classmates or friends is through the online Alumni Directory on We Are Wesley. This searchable listing of all Wesley College alumni on record provides the most current alumni information and is the most direct way to get in touch with other Wesley alumni.
Just click on the Directory link under the My Community drop-down menu or click on Directory under the CONNECTED drop-down menu at the top (you must first be logged in to access this feature). Then, click on the link to search the Alumni Directory. Once you are directed to the Search page, you can type in the field(s) by which you wish to search (Name- First, Maiden, Last; Class Year; Registered Online status) and then click the Search button at the bottom of the page. The system will pull up an alphabetical list of all records that meet that specific criterion from which you can then select the correct individual. Further instructions are available on the Search help bar by clicking on the blue icon on the Search page.
Once the search results appear on the screen, you can hover with your mouse over any of the icons to the right of an individual’s name to select among the various options (i.e. send an email, view photos, add to friends list) or click on the individual’s name to view his/her profile. Deceased alumni are marked with a yellow ribbon icon to the right of their name.
If you are unable to find an individual’s information through the Directory online, please
contact the Office of Institutional Advancement
for assistance in contacting the alumnus on your behalf (i.e. forwarding a letter or email to the address on record).
Q:
How do I submit my news or announcements for Class Notes?
A: Wesley has two versions of Class Notes – an online listing on We Are Wesley and a section in Wesley magazine print publication. Alumni are invited to submit to either or both versions. Class Notes online is an ongoing posting system where you can submit news, photos and announcements on your own at any time. Please click
here
to be directed to the Class Notes page (or you can select "Submit" or "Search" in the Class Notes section on the
News
page). From the Class Notes page you can type in your news in the box provided. To upload a photo with the class notes, please click on "Browse" to find the digital photo file from your computer. Then select "Preview" to view the note before submitting.
If you wish to have your submission printed in Wesley magazine’s Class Notes, please include your name, maiden name (if applicable), class year and daytime phone number along with your news as you would like it to be printed and email to Office of Institutional Advancement. Digital photos are encouraged. We prefer that they be in a in .tiff or .jpg file format with 300 dpi or above resolution. Non-digital photos are also welcome and can be returned to the address provided, if requested. We prefer 4 x 6 photos or larger. Please mail submissions to:
Office of Alumni Affairs
Wesley College
120 N. State Street
Dover, DE 19901
Q:
I am not receiving Wesley alumni magazine or other mail from the College. How do I
get put on the mailing list?
A: If you are not receiving mail from us, chances are that we do not have your current
address in our records. The best way to ensure to notify us of information changes and to ensure that you will receive future mailings is to go through the My Community drop-down menu to access your profile (click on "My Profile") and type in your current address, phone number, email address and other information in the appropriate fields. Any changes or additions to your profile are processed by Advancement staff and updated in your permanent Wesley College alumni record. Please allow up to 10 working days for information updates to take effect.
If your profile information is already up-to-date and you still have not been receiving Wesley mail, please
email the Office of Institutional Advancement
or call 302.736.2315. Click here to download PDF versions of past Wesley magazine issues. You can also check out the News link to find out when new issues are released.
Q:
What does the Wesley Fund support and how does my gift make a difference?
A: Every gift to Wesley does make a difference and collectively, the gifts of hundreds of
alumni and donors make a huge impact and make it possible for Wesley to provide a quality education to the next generation of leaders. Additionally, overall alumni participation is an important criterion when Wesley is considered for funding from foundations and corporations so your involvement, at any level, is critical. Visit the Annual Giving page for more information on what the Wesley Fund supports and the various giving opportunities.
Q:
How can I make a gift to Wesley College?
A: All information about giving to Wesley can be found under the DEDICATED drop-
down menu. The various options for giving are listed under
Giving to Wesley
. Giving online via credit card is easy and safe through the
Make a Gift
form. This online donation form utilizes industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) servers to process your transaction. Please visit the Privacy Policy for more information. The DEDICATED section also includes an Honor Roll of past and present donors, information on annual giving and planned giving as well as contact information for the Office of Institutional Advancement staff.
Q:
How do I obtain a copy of my official Wesley transcript?
A: To obtain your Wesley transcript, you must go through the Wesley College Office of
Registrar. Specific information on transcripts requests can be found on the
Registrar's Request a Transcript
page of the main College website or by contacting 302.736.2434.
Q:
How can I purchase Wesley College apparel or merchandise for myself and/or my
friends and family?
A: We Are Wesley offers a convenient online store where you can purchase Wesley
Alumni branded clothing and other items to be shipped directly to you or to someone else as a gift. Click
here
to browse the merchandise at the Alumni eStore. Be sure to check back frequently for special offers and new items.
Q:
How do I get information on upcoming alumni events or Wesley athletic events?
A: Information on upcoming alumni events are posted on the
Events
page of this site.
Wesley athletic events are often listed on this page as well. Or, please visit
http://athletics.wesley.edu
for detailed information on schedules, statistics and tickets.
Q:
Does Wesley offer Career Services to alumni?
A: Although Wesley does not have a specific Career Services department or staff assigned solely to this area, Wesley graduates are able to access most of the same career resources that are available to current students. These resources are provided as part of the College’s Department of Academic Support and can be accessed through the
Career Services
link on the College’s main website.
In addition, the We Are Wesley site offers a
Career Center
area where alumni can search for and contact fellow alumni for the purpose of career networking and to access current job postings, when available. Alumni are invited to add postings for employment opportunities in their organizations. When alumni create or update their profile, they can choose to complete a Business WebCard, Mentor Profile or Resume Profile to be included in the Career Center search.
