The Halls of Fame were originally established in 1983 by the Alumni Association as a means of honoring outstanding alumni. The Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes individuals that have made significant contributions to society and/or have achieved outstanding success in philanthropic, personal or professional endeavors. The Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individuals that have achieved outstanding success in an athletic endeavor as a player, coach, trainer, manager, etc. Non-alumni candidates may also be considered for special honorary recognition.

The Alumni of the Year and Young Alumni of the Year awards exist to recognize alumni who have exemplified professional and/or philanthropic success and have demonstrated outstanding service to their community and Wesley College.
